Major new tip from my father:
First place a short strip of tissue in the bowl BEFORE beginning to poop. This way poopies end up hitting the extra sheets a-floatin’ and tend to leave less skid marks, on average, than if you just let them hit the porcelian naked. This is especially effective for the “toothpaste” form of poopies that are so annoying in many other respects as well.
I know this is contradictory to my 3-square rule, but that rule is most effective at curbing female urinary-wipe-waste than trying to limit effective poopy wiping.
P.S. If you notice, sanitary seat sheets in public toilets have that center die-cut hanging on at the rear, which not only helps the paper remain in position, but also acts as the aforementioned shield against poopies dragging on the bowl’s bottom.

I definitely think dealing with dog poop counts. Kids eventually become toilet trained, but you’ve got to pick your dog’s poop for their entire lives!

I am not one to spend alot of time thinking about body juices or excretions… in fact they rather disgust me (except in medical contexts like how mucus–made up of a sugar, a protein, and water–functions to clean the air we breathe). Nevertheless, I must say that Jennifer Katz, her film team, and her intrepid band of interviewees handle the subject with panache…my hat’s off to them!
